The Pottery Wheel

A great kiln dominates one corner of the room. Its brick surface radiates lingering warmth, and the faint scent of ash drifts from its vents. Stacked beside it are bundles of firewood and baskets of minerals used to create glazes, each promising a different surprise when the firing is complete. The potter glances up from the wheel and offers a welcoming smile before returning to their work.
